A thermo-electric module is a plate-like semiconductor thermo-electric element that uses the Peltier Effect, which states that when a DC current is passed through a junction between two different metals, heat is transferred from one metal to the other. Thermo-electric modules are small and lightweight, and do not require CFCs. They are used for climate control seats of cars, chiller units, optical communications, biotechnology, air conditioners, dryers, and a wide variety of home electronics/consumer products. It is one of our core technologies.
